Filterfloor keeps the living environment of pigs fresh and healthy
Filterfloor keeps the pig houses dry and the air fresh and healthy. This prevents the risk of eye and respiratory problems which can cause the pigs to suffer from stress. Material like straw gives comfort and offers the piglets and the pigs possibilities to rooting. The Filterfloor is suitable for housing systems with or without straw.
Separate collection of manure and urine
Pigs are naturally clean animals which like rooting. They keep their food and resting place clean and excrete mostly in the same place in the pigsty. With the Filterfloor you can create a pig toilet and separate manure and urine
Filterfloor reduces harmful emissions in the barn.
Many pigs live on slatted floors above slurry cellars. They are exposed to faecal gases produced by the decaying process of slurry. Emissions of CO2 (greenhouse gas) and ammonia, cause pigs various health problems, such as irritated eyes and respiratory problems. This can lead to aggression and stress, causing the pigs to bite ears and tails. Filterfloor prevents harmful emissions and keeps the air healthy. This creates a healthier work and living environment in the barn.
Manure separation for pig manure
Filterfloor ensures the separation of pig manure at the source, no more slurry is produced. The urine flows through the porous surface and the faeces remain on the surface. Thanks to this separation of manure at the source of this low-emission stable system, the emission of ammonia decreases considerably. Filterfloor also reduces the emission of hazardous and polluting faecal gases, such as methane, nitrous oxide and carbon dioxide in the manure storage.
Filterfloor is a start-up that develops and markets a unique, patented Filterfloor system for manure separation at the source. As a start-up, we have gained several years of experience. The development has reached the final phase, which is why we are looking for early adopters who are prepared to give access to their barns for testing the patented Filterfloor system. These pilot projects are intended for research into final emission measurements.
